Hey Guys! Mr. Will here. I had a blast making this kid's record, and I hope you enjoy listening to it. I have been playing music my whole life, and making records for the past 12 years. I live in Austin, Texas, which is a city I highly recommend visiting if you've never had the pleasure. Anyhow, I started teaching preschool music classes about three years ago, and I think it's one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. Watching two year olds develop their motor and motion skills before they can talk is quite impressive, and can be quite entertaining at the same time. Over time I started writing my own kid's tunes, and in January 2011 began the pre-production of Dinosaur For My Birthday. Recording this record was unlike any other experience I'd had in the studio. Typically, musicians walk into the studio feeling intensely passionate about their art, and wearing their ego front and center. I had grown accustomed to this approach, but sometime during the first day of tracking I had a revelation. "We're making a kids record, all bets are off! The goofier and cheesier the better!" So the guys and myself channeled our inner four year old, and this is what we came up with. I tried to cover all the important topics and subjects on this record: sports, modes of transportation, animals, colors, and dinosaurs. There are two solid motion songs as well, and the Hokey Pokey will get kiddos identifying their body parts. The rest of the tunes are just dancing or driving songs, which is what listening to music is all about anyway if you ask me. Thanks so much for checking out my record, and we'll see you out there on the road! WD.
