The Twigs are twin sisters Laura Good & Linda Good who produce, sing, write and play music. They started out as darlings of the Chicago alternative pop scene in the late 90's. A move to the west coast in 2000 launched their careers together and apart as musicians, producers and songwriters, prompting the LA Weekly to call them "silky voiced sirens with universal appeal". Their critically acclaimed CD "the Universe Tonight" was produced by Grammy Producer of the Year nominee, Johnny K. Several of their songs from their previous three CDs have found their way onto major radio across the country, and their music continues to be heard in television and film. THE TWIGS® next release features all new original pop for songs for kids of all ages. Sunny days, jumping in the ocean, panda bears, candy and a runaway sandwich are all set to the Twigs' trademark style of clever lyrics, soaring melodies and luscious harmonies. "Jump Right In" fits right in with the cool kids' music of They Might Be Giants and Chicago music friend and kids' music mogul Justin Roberts. Laura's six year-old daughter, Alena, not only sings on several songs, but co-wrote some as well. "Jump Right In" features the sisters' versatile writing, singing and playing and includes drums by Joey Peters (Grant Lee Buffalo) and violin by Nate Leath (Old School Freight Train). When the sisters had production discussions via Skype, Alena often threw in her two cents, and "usually it was the six year-old that made the best suggestion. It was the most fun we've had in a long time."
