Shad Weathersby has quite a variety of styles in his songwriting and albums. He's been through his days as an earthy crunchy folk rocker, a poetic art rock phase presenting a beautiful portrait of his home town, New Orleans, and an incredible homage to the life of Jesus with a contemporary soul's viewpoint. Now he gives us the gift of music for children, a collection of songs that had it's beginnings at campouts and nature explorations for his son Paris' Indian Guides group. Chomp Chomp is a collection of songs for kids, and for the eternal child in all of us. These songs can be like a path of pebbles, that big people can follow back through the forest of the grown up world to the garden of innocence, retracing our steps to the place we were before life got so complicated. Childhood is like a special magic land, and the farther away from it we get, the more precious it seems to become. Who would want to completely leave a place like this, ever? We adults carry it around deep inside ourselves, this child's vision of a fresh new land of wonder, and our inner child's well being is essential to the happiness that we can feel. Let your inner child come out and play, and share this great secret place with your own children.
