This original music blossomed from a love of music, theatre, and children. After entertaining for over twenty five years, Anita Greene, aka Rockin' Rosie, switched gears, went back to college, and became a social worker. Seeing a great need to reach children at a young age with regards to self-esteem, respect. Acceptance of diversity, and just showing love for others and oneself came as a natural by-product of working as a school social worker for Southgate Adult and Community Education for more than fourteen years. It has grown into a major mission and life passion. Fate also brought her together with 'The Music Lady', the extremely talented Beverly Meyer, who contributed greatly to the works and laid the tracks that turned Anita's compositions into real music. The tunes are meant to inspire creativity because most of the songs encourage participation and customization. The songs were purposely written so that the words could be personalized to each child's unique situation. The songs are also meant to teach life long lessons like self-esteem and respect, not included in traditional education settings. This music is meant to be enjoyed by children ages 0 to five and those who love them.
