Nursery school teacher and hip hop performer Rhymezwell is a firm believer that hip hop music can be an amazing tool for learning. In the vein of Mother Goose and Aesop, he has taken rhyming and storytelling one giant leap further-transforming his love for hip hop music into something universally relatable to children and parents alike. This is done by respecting both the hip hop ideals of old and the remarkable intelligence of children, which he gets to experience everyday while teaching in the five year-old classroom. After five years of performing positive hip hop music from Houston, Texas to Boston, Massachusetts (where he currently resides), it wasn't until taking a job as an assistant teacher at a nursery school that Rhymezwell found out where his words could have the most impact. Combining his passion for teaching his little friends at school and his love for hip hop, he set out writing, recording and producing his first Children's Hip Hop Record, Nursery RhymeZ, tentatively slated for release in late 2010/early 2011. 'Nursery RhymeZ is a tool for learning life skills while singing along to catchy hooks and dancing to funky beats,' says Rhymezwell. His goal for this album was to record something kids could really groove to without dumbing down his words, because kids are far more intelligent than watered down lyrics and cheesy one-two beats. Beta-tested at school during one of Rhymezwell's music classes, the single 'I'm a Pirate' received rave reviews when one wide-eyed five year-old girl exclaimed, 'AARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH.......' Rhymezwell agreed. As a Hip Hop Artist, Rhymezwell has been featured on numerous websites including HipHopdx.com, Rapmullet.com and Allhiphop.com. He has also caught radio play with the single 'Supposed to Do' on Boston's ALTERNATIVE ROCK station 104.1 WBCN. Yes, that's right-an ALTERNATIVE ROCK station. He has performed with numerous national touring acts at Boston's biggest venues, including an East Coast tour with Hip Hop Legend Chubb Rock. Of Rhymezwell's music during a radio interview in Atlantic City, Chubb said, 'Rhymezwell is like Vintage New School. He combines the soul of Old School Hip Hop with the flow of the new school artists.' Nursery RhymeZ is a record for children that parents can listen to OVER and OVER and OVER again without having to bang their heads on the steering wheel. The only head nodding will be to the boom of the kick drum and the tap of the snare. Rhymezwell strives to keep it fresh for the entire family and will have your whole camp jumping before the first song ends.
