We are a NAPPA award winning band!! Inspired by a friend John started taking harmonica lessons at the age of 30 at the Old Town school of folk music. John then moved on to bass lessons which soon switched over to guitar lessons. After 8 years of playing and taking lessons he was emboldened by his mastery of three chords and started writing songs that entertained his daughter. He showed them to some friends named Pete and Shawn who helped him further develop the music. Then a band was formed by reaching out to some Old Town School disciples and an instructor, a youth pastor and a drummer who was in the right place at the right time. After a few rehearsals, a flooded out block party gig, a few more rehearsals and a successful outdoor halloween gig they headed into the studio successfully completing an award winning CD. Mud, Mommies and Mayhem has won a National Parenting Publications Award. Music for kids that the whole family can enjoy.
