Mr.Z is not your typical kindergarten teacher. This daytime teacher/crooner plays the role of teacher by day and rock star by night. While continuing to perform his original music across the country, he continues to carry a message about being true to one's self. Raised in St.Louis, Missouri, a music town in it's own right, Mr.Z developed his first love for music. At the age of eight he was introduced to violin, which he studied for the next five years. About this time, Mr.Z's interest in music drifted to rock'n roll. After unsatisfied gigs in several cover bands, Mr.Z decided to write his own music. Inspired by the sounds of the east coast, he relocated to New Jersey where he continued to compose his melodies and lyrics. After spending many years performing music but still not feeling a sense of accomplishment, Mr.Z decided to travel in the international touring group " Up With People". It was at that time, he decided to go back to school to become a teacher. He has released three CDs under his name Josh Zuckerman (Out From Under, A Totally New Sensation, and Got Love) to great reviews and has just released his latest children CD (From A to Mr.Z) under his new project Mr.Z and the Shashka Frashkas. His love for teaching is not confined to just being in the classroom. Mr.Z also loves to bring his message of loving the self, promoting self-esteem, and spreading the act of kindness through out the world. It's what being a Shashka Frashka is all about. Mr.Z (as Josh Zuckerman) has delivered his music internationally, performing in many sold-out shows including over 40.000 people at the 1996 World Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia supporting Peabo Bryson, as well as the 1998 World Expo, in Lisbon, Portugal, and the 2005 World Expo in Nagoya, Japan. He has traveled to over 15 different countries including the United States, Bermuda, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway as well as Thailand. His songs have been nominated for OMA music awards for outstanding songwriter of the year and for Outstanding Debut Male. He won 3rd place in the international songwriting competition for his song 'When Love Comes Back Again.' Clips of his songs 'Karma,' 'Spiritual,' and 'Circle of Friends' appeared on the Kathy Griffin's reality show 'My Life on the D-List' on Bravo. His song "Be Real" landed on the reality TV series called Be Real on MTV/Logo. His song Out From Under was the number one most requested song on Sirius out Q for four weeks in a row while his music videos have consistently been seen on MTV/LOGO TV's The Click List, New Now Next, and is currently on MTV and VH1.com Mr.Z has integrated his world life experiences to a fresh music style that is ready to explode the children music market.
