From the blowing of the shofar through all of the Jewish holidays of the year, Morah Leah sings exciting and original songs that both kids and adults will love. Who knew that you could dance with the Torah on Simchat Torah to a Latin disco beat, or build your sukkah to a down-home Bluegrass band? Listening to 'I Can See the Stars' makes children feel like they are gazing out of their sukkah at the beautiful night sky. A Klezmer waltz, 'My Little Queen Esther', evokes the nachas a mother feels for her little princess. Leah has been a professional violinist, singer and songwriter all of her life. Although Classically trained, she honed her skills playing Folk, Irish, Klezmer, Country, and Bluegrass for many years. Eventually arriving in Nashville, Leah played fiddle and mandolin in studio sessions, and collaborated with some of the top songwriters in the County Music industry. In Nashville, Leah returned to her Jewish roots and began teaching at the Jewish Day School, writing songs to help the children learn about Torah and mitzvot. These songs evolved into what became her first children's CD, 'Mitzvot, Mitzvot, Everyday!' which was recorded with award winning studio musicians, many of whom happened to attend her synagogue. The CD took off and appeared in stores throughout the US. Soon 'Morah Leah' began getting requests to make a holiday CD. Making aliyah to Israel in 2004, Leah recorded her holiday CD with some of the best Israeli musicians. As the description says, all the songs have been kid-tested. Morah Leah is also an English teacher in Israel. Her songs are so popular with her students that the kids have made up dances to some of the songs and she has been asked to perform many of these songs at different holiday school events year after year. Your kids will love them too! Let's read what some of the mothers are saying about 'I Can See the Stars': "My daughter cries if I put on another CD!". Mrs. CK, Brooklyn, NY "It's a built-in babysitter!". Mrs. YP, Jerusalem "My children sit mesmerized listening to your CD." Mrs. AS, Tekoa, Israel "Whenever we get in the car it's the only CD my kids want to listen to. I like to listen as much as the children do." Mrs. MN, Nashville, TN.
