Marsi Carr received her degree from UCLA in Theater Arts and Music. She studied voice with Dean Verhines of the Metropolitan Opera and sang in the Roger Wagner Chorale with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta at both the Hollywood Bowl and the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion. Carr studied classical piano with Dorothy and Leo Podolsky and jazz piano with jazz pianist Pee Wee Lyn. She studied acting with legendary Victory Theater coach, Maria Gobetti. After graduating from UCLA, Marsi spent several years touring the US, singing and performing popular music. She then settled in the San Diego area with husband, Charles, a columnist, editor and musician. When they decided to have a family, their musical life changed just a bit. Marsi started teaching voice, piano, guitar as well as acting coahing at her studio in Valley Center. She also spent 10 years working with the kids in her children's classrooms, writing songs with them and producing CDs for the schools. She just finished her new album, 'Just Like You I Was Little Too'. It was created over time out of love for her children and great respect for kids and their amazing outlook on life. She continues to perform music with her husband in their band. They are currently working on an album of original love songs. She resides in Valley Center, CA with her husband and two children, horses and cats.
