'A Search for Something Lovely' by the Magical Rainbow Teddies and Marcella Marcella:'One afternoon I was sitting outside in my garden in the sun. I was feeling quite sleepy, when, suddenly I saw a flash of bright colour coming down from the sky and settling on the branch of a tree near me.It was a Magical Teddy, and as I watched another one came down from the sky into my garden. All afternoon those Teddies stayed, singing and flying around and telling me their story. About how they came to earth to search for the precious and special treasure to bring back their colours and make them happy. And that they love children more than anything else in the Universe, and how they have sent songs down to Earth so that children EVERYWHERE will listen and know how precious, special and lovely they are.' Children need more than ever to feel valued, confident, loved and accepted. 'A Search for Something Lovely' contains songs, stories, poems and themes which have the specific aims of instilling in children the perception of their unique loveliness and self-worth, enhancing self-esteem and confidence and engendering a sense of make-believe and fun in children's lives. 'A Search for Something Lovely' has been presented to children as Concerts in Schools, Preschools, Child Care Centres, Libraries and Community Centres in Melbourne, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Africa. The songs are also given air-play every Sunday morning on a Children's Radio Programme called 'Follow the Rainbow' hosted by Marcella and the Magical Teddies on Yarra Valley FM Community Radio Station, 99.1 in Melbourne. The songs stories and messages which the Magical Teddies send children will help them to have a view about themselves which is positive, self affirming and joyful.
