Press Release Chatham, New Jersey - Singer-songwriter Kathy Byers released: 'Round The Campfire, her second children's music CD recording on Monday, July 19, 2004, at a 7:00 PM family concert at The Foundation for the Arts and Sciences on Long Beach Island, in Loveladies, New Jersey The CD features six Chatham gradeschool girls who sing solos and accompany Byers on five tracks of the CD including: The Littlest Worm, Linger, If I had A Hammer, Kumbaya and The Hillside of Sacajawea. Kathy Byers, an independent recording artist and president of KT Music Productions Inc., says the sixteen songs on the CD are a compilation of: 'favorite campfire songs she sang throughout her ten years as a Girl Scout and around the campfire on family trips to Canada, New York, Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Shore.' The concert on Loveladies showed enthusiastic audience participation.'Round The Campfire includes a lyric booklet for song leaders to freely invite groups to learn and sing classic song such as Woody Guthrie's This Land Is Your Land and Five Hundred Miles by Hedy West. Byers' first release: Do You Wish You Could Fly?, ten original songs for children won four prestigious national awards.
