With ever increasing access to technology, our children risk the loss of our most primary relationship: the relationship we have with the earth, the only mother we all share. The intention of these songs, as they span the day from morning to evening, is to evoke our innate joy of being and to rejuvenate awareness and respect for all of creation and our part in it. There are four morning songs, five midday and four eveing songs. We begin with the crow of the rooster and end with the hoot of an owl and a soothing lullaby. The music expresses the joy of life and the exquisite nature of the world we all share. Kids respond beautifully to these songs, and not surprisingly, adults do too. These are not typical songs for children. Each song is a world all it's own with a specific intention. As children learn and sing the songs, the gentle message to look closely at life, to respect ourselves and our world and to fully enjoy life are received and celebrated. May this music awaken in all of us a sustaining love for life and may we pass it on. For more info goto MeandtheMoon.com.
