Jim Armenti is a long time member of the Lonesome Brothers of western Massachusetts. He has written songs for all eight published LB CDs. Some of those songs have been covered by Cry, Cry, Cry and Pam Tillis and Mark Erelli among others. He has also composed instrumental music for his other band Klezamir. Currently he plays regularly with these two bands as well as bass, clarinet and percussion with the world touring Young@Heart Chorus. When his children were two years old he pushed them in a large carriage around the block which in the rural town of Westhampton MA. Is about two miles long. During that time he wrote these songs, about the animals on the block, mostly but as with most things, imagination made an incursion. Hey, it's a long walk. He then recorded these songs with the cheapest possible untunable instruments while his children banged on the studio door demanding attention and roosters crowed outside the back door for special rooster reasons. This was all done a long time ago but now the original cassette tape is here on CD. Good luck!
