Hello! A lil' about me(!): Born and raised 'in the sticks' of beautiful North Carolina, I first tied on my travelling boots a month after high school graduation, first moving to California, then Atlanta, more California and finally, in the pursuit of love, Sydney, Australia. For 10+ years I had the pleasure of living and getting to know the Australian way of life with my wife Nancy, who was born and raised there. That period opened my eyes to a wealth of new experiences and made me a healthier, happier man. Meals I initially turned my nose up at, I now request! What can I say, I was a big baby! But like all babies I grew up. I admit the more beach-y life was less of an adjustment; and I immediately adopted the Australian sense of humor as my own. After a decade Down Under, the Mrs & I felt hungry for new adventures, hence our recent move to the Big Apple. Having toured three rock albums around Australia, I also felt ready for a creative sea change. Thinking back, the catalysts were fairly obvious: re-watching The Muppets Take Manhattan with my nephew, discovering the Flight of the Conchords and of course anything by my brother-from-another-mother Jack Black. I adore my nephew, and when I lived in Oz I was constantly on the hunt to find anything to make him laugh. Each song on 'Jefrey Au-Go-Go' started as an idea in the wake of that inspiration. My hope is that when kids play this record, the silliness of the first perplexing words of 'Peter the Pushy Puppy' will bring a smile to their faces. Here's hoping it puts a smile on grown-ups' faces too!
