"Dr Mary" Kleinsorge is now a Chiropractor in Delta, Colorado, but music was her first love. Growing up on an eastern Kansas cattle farm near Cottonwood Falls, she bought her first guitar with money made from the sale of a baby calf. "Farmer Earl" is a song about her dad and life on the farm. Other songs like Go the Extra Mile were written from special memories. Dr Mary's music has continued to be her greatest companion throughout life. She traveled with her music, performing 6 nights a week, 4 hours a night for many years, before making a career move that made a positive change in her lifestyle. Though her music is a big part of her heart, caring for people as a doctor and having the stability of a non-travelling life is more fulfilling and leaves time for her beautiful daughters. Her girls are Nikaila and Stephanie. They were adopted from China and are ages 12 and 8, now. Mary is their homeschool teacher and cherishes the time that she spends with them and her husband Craig. She continues to write, and many of her songs on THIS CD and others are inspired by the love she feels for her family and friends. Mary began singing and playing her guitar, "Teddy Hernandez," at age 11. She loved to practice and took classical guitar lessons. She wrote the chorus to Lu La La when she was 12. All of the songs on this CD were written by Dr Mary, including the classical guitar interludes and the composition,"Positive Movement". She hopes that her songs and guitar playing will inspire and move you in a positive way. She says, "You can do anything you decide to do. All you have to do is work at it and want it hard enough. Music can be a great friend and avenue to express yourself!" You can learn more about "Dr Mary" and her life at her web site. She's also a sculptor and clay artist.
