I've played music for decades, a mix of folk, country, blues, and pop. Started with guitar. Influenced by Dylan, Donovan, and Woodie Guthrie to play harp in a rack. Blues led to cross harp (JImmy Reed), slide (Robert Johnson, Elmore James Furry Lewis). Folk and blues (Elizabeth Cotton, John Hurt) led to fingerpicking. The music on this CD, Time To Dream, was inspired by my grandchildren, songs they ask me to play while they dance around the room. The title is also one of my songs on the CD. (Otherwise the title could have been Time To Dance.) Several other songs written by me, other are new musical compositions. Recorded in the studio of my co-producer, John Mock, who also mixed and mastered. Fortunate to have some truly outstanding musicians playing with me, starting with John, a gifted multi-instrumentalist (mandolin, penny whistle, concertina, percussion, guitar), Jelly Roll Johnson (Nashville harp wizard), Erin Thomas on harmonies (also a song writer-performer), and San Diego's terrific didgeridoo maestro, Mitchell Walker, on The Didgeridoo Song. The album was great fun to make, not songs you think of as children's songs, but songs children and others like. Hope you like it, too!!
