Original Songs for young English Learners 'Now It's Time for English' was created in collaboration with Oskar Lernt Englisch, a children's language school based in Berlin Germany. The album is perfect for those who are just starting to learn English as it covers topics like the colours (rainbow in the sky), animals (in the jungle), clothes (getting dressed), food (packed lunch, fast food) and jobs (what's your job?) etc. The key vocabulary is presented simply and then expanded with sung dialogues and useful phrases, so that the album becomes a useful tool for intermediate levels and native speaking kids too. But enough about the CD's educational purposes! This is great original music which will have you as well as the young people in your life chuckling, toe tapping, and singing along. The CD has proved to be a hit with parents as much as with kids and parent-child combos have been overheard singing these tunes in the streets of Berlin! Each track aims to be musically interesting enough not to drive adults insane when the kids (inevitably) demand to hear the disc over and over again. Great guest instrumentalists, plenty of voices and a variety of styles from disco, hip hop, and country to vocal jazz, polka and swing make this fun the first and the 200th time. About the artists: Ian Beaty (producer/composer/main performer) is an long time youth educator and performer of children's music. He sings, plays piano, synthesizers, bass, percussion and ukulele on this album with plenty of friends and guest musician rounding out the mix. Claire Coles co-writer/content supervisor) is the director of Oskar Lernt Englisch, the school for which Now It's Time for English was originally produced. She oversaw the album's content and developed the texts of the songs with composer Ian Beaty, making sure the language was natural, useful and as memorable as the melodies. They are hard at work on a second album, 'Get Up, Get Going!'. Coming soon!
